The Dangers of Some Appetite Suppressant Tea

the-dangers-of-some-appetite-suppressant-teaWhile weight loss is a program that involves a number of factors – including appropriate doctor-approved exercise, adequate quality sleep, and of course eating the right foods (and avoiding the wrong one!) – fundamentally, on a biological level, weight loss is only possible when you burn more calories than you consume.

Otherwise, no matter how healthy or fit your lifestyle, the end result will be weight gain – which for many people, is not just a problem with respect to how they look and feel, but it can put their health at risk and lead to an array of problems ranging from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and the rather scary list goes on.

However, if you’re one of the hundreds of millions of people around the world who are trying to lose weight, here at Physique Tea we have an important warning that we urge you to heed, and share with your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues: some so-called “appetite suppressant” tea is dangerous to your health.

For example, some appetite suppressant tea is loaded with caffeine, which is a diuretic that promotes water loss through urination. As such, you can think that you’re losing weight – when in fact you’re merely losing water, which will come back rapidly within days or even hours. What’s more, you’re starving your body of the water it needs to stay healthy and, ironically, that it needs to lose weight as well. And on top of this, the excess caffeine will negatively affect your quality of sleep, and make you feel jittery and anxious. It can even make you start snacking to cope with the added stress.

Furthermore, some appetite suppressant tea contains biologically active substances such as ephedra, which has actually been BANNED by the FDA – and for good reason! Ephedra has been linked to life-threatening or disabling conditions, including high blood pressure, heart attacks, muscle disorders, seizures, strokes, irregular heartbeat, loss of consciousness – and even death. Despite the fact that it’s banned, unfortunately it can be found in some appetite suppressant tea products, as well as other so-called “dietary aids” like pills and supplements.

If you’re looking for a safe and effective appetite suppressant tea that contains NO artificial ingredients or ephedra, then we invite you to try our popular melon-cucumber blend, Jade, which contains:
