Garcinia Cambogia is a small, pumpkin-shaped fruit native to India and Southeast Asia, which contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA). This works in a couple of ways to help promote weight loss.


First, it helps suppress appetite by boosting serotonin levels – which is linked to elevated mood. Since many people are “emotional eaters” (i.e. they eat unhealthily or overeat when they’re upset, anxious, depressed and so on), this can directly help control cravings and support weight loss goals.

Second, hydroxycitric acid helps thwart the body’s fat-producing process by inhibiting citrate lyase, which is an enzyme that the body uses to convert carbohydrates into fats.
